Work Rules for the Organizing Committee of
Recommending Packaging Design for WorldStar
1. Aim
1) To cooperate with WPO in judging entries
for WorldStar Packaging Competition held once
a year, to present china’s packaging designs
of excellence to the world, as director
members of WPO, China Packaging Federation and
China National Export Commodities Packaging
Research Institute jointly set up the
Organizing Committee of Recommending Packaging
Design for WorldStar (organizing committee for
short), a non-profit committee.
2) The organizing committee aims to promote
the national standards of packaging design,
strengthen international cooperation and
technical exchanges and help domestic
packaging industry to catch up with the
advanced world level.

2. Task
1) To introduce the World Packaging
Organization (WPO) and the latest world
developments as well as publicizing the
international and national packaging works
2) To collect domestic packaging works and
select “PackStar” through public appraisal
3) To recommend the “PackStar” winners to
enter the WorldStar competition
4) To organize related activities regarding
international academic exchanges and technical
cooperation of packaging.

research on packaging design and the

3. Work Procedure
1) Organizing committee has its Director,
Deputy Director, Secretary General, Deputy
Secretary General and several members,
consisting of experts of packaging design,
research & management, the members will also
directly get involved in PackStar judging and
relevant activities of organizing committee.
2) The members take on work entrusted by
organizing committee, and then submit comments
and requirement in various aspects to the
committee, as well as actively participating
in various activities of the committee.
3) Secretariat is responsibale for daily work
of organizing committee, including collecting
entries of packaging designs, nominating
members for PackStar Panel of Judges and
preparing for judgment meeting and award
ceremony, recommending the winners of PackStar
to WorldStar competition.
